Ten Reasons to Love Nathan (in no particular order)...
10. He adores Jonathan. It is amazing to me how he finds a genuine way to include Jonathan in everything that he does. From raking the leaves to rotating the tires to building something or making dinner, he finds a meaningful way to incorporate Jonathan--even if it takes a while longer to complete the task.
9. He is extremely generous. It really is a gift that comes naturally to him. He goes above and beyond giving of his time and talents...cooking meals for people to building things at church, to giving financially and giving gifts.
8. He is sweet. When Nathan first came to my college to meet my friends the first feedback from all of them was that he was so sweet. His is my sweetest!
7. He cooks. And his meals are delicious! Also, he does this effortlessly. I don't know how but in 30 minutes he will have a meal made with extra to go in the freezer.
6. He cleans. I know, he is amazing.
5. He does the laundry. He sorts, washes, folds and puts it away. He knows where everything in my drawers goes and what needs to be hung!
4. He is a man's man. He can do many domestic things, but he can also build a house and fix a car.
3. He understands what it means to be the husband of a teacher. He never gets frustrated when I have to stay late at work and often volunteers to come and help me if he thinks he can help me. He also understood during the first years of our marriage that "school" was a line item on our budget. Thank you, Mom & Dad Ashley! It helps that my mother-in-law was a teacher!
2. He packs my lunch nearly every single day of my life. Of course, he is detail-oriented, so he always has a napkin and silverware. And sometimes, he leaves letters in my lunch box that unscrambled tell me how much he loves me!
1. Nathan anticipates people's needs. He is quiet, but he always reads a room and can anticipate what people are going to need...from drinks and food to conversation to helping whoever is in the kitchen.
