Porch Painting
Another October project we took on was to paint the porches on our apartments. We all worked on it together. Painting well with a nearly three year old is challenging, but Nathan is so gifted at finding meaningful ways to include Jonathan in projects. We all had fun and got the porches done.
Making Applesauce!
In October, we took a week off and dedicated it to some projects. We started off making applesauce and canning it. Nathan did some research and found that we could save a great deal of money if we got "seconds" at the Farmer's Market. We got them for less than half price. Seconds are ideal for making applesauce because the apples are already mixed. It doesn't matter if the apples have bruises because they get cut and cooked down anyway.
Grandma Ashley always had canned goods for us when we went to visit. After she passed away, we were fortunate enough to inherit all of her canning products. We were glad to put them to good use.

Nobles Family Visitors
In September, Great Grandma and Grandpa Nobles and Aunt Cokie came do visit NC. Here are some photos of the fun we had. We enjoyed visiting with Alex, Lauren and Clara.
